Many of us wish we were more creative. Many of us sense that we are more creative, but unable to effectively tap that creativity. Our dreams elude us. Our lives feel somehow flat. Often, we have great ideas, wonderful dreams, but are unable to actualize them for ourselves [ . . .] While there is no quick fix for instant, pain-free creativity, creative recovery (or discovery) is a teachable, trackable spiritual practice. Each of us is complex and highly individual, yet there are common recognizable denominators to the creative recovery process.
— Julia Cameron, The Artist's Way

Since it was originally published in 1992, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron has been a guide for folks interested in tapping into their creative potential. This book offers a path toward what Cameron describes as “creative recovery” through a blend of thoughtful teaching and practical exercises. The author and publishers of the book don’t endorse “accredited” Artist’s Way teachers. Instead, Cameron suggests that “creative recovery at its best is a nonhierarchical, peer-run, collective process.”

As such, Cheri invites you to join her in her own journey through the book as part of a “Creative Cluster.” Together, over twelve weeks, we’ll come together using Zoom as a gathering space and Cameron’s suggested Creative Cluster Guidelines (along with any other principles of community we agree upon as we continue our journey) as a means for facilitating conversation and walking through the material together.

If you’re interesting in participating, please grab a copy of the book and sign up using the brief form below!
